Lane McPheeters and his two sons, Logan and Jamis, on the trail to Gannett Peak in Wyoming.  The Elkhart Trail, which reaches the area of Gannett Peak via Bonnie Pass, continues for over 20 miles before climbers can even see the mountain.  Deep snow and an injured ankle turned the team around before the summit attempt.
